Acrylic nalbinding/needlebinding test (modern use)

Description

As I have mentioned in my journal yesterday I am running low on 100% wool (I should soon order again some more) but I do have loads of acrylic yarn laying around in all kinds of colours, textures and thicknesses that I would love to play around with. As I love the feel of nalbound (needlebound) materials I figured for my modern use I could make some gloves using old techniques with modern materials. The finished result does feel slightly different from wool (of course) but it does come very close to the original work.
Though because acrylic makes it impossible to felt the thread ends together I used another method that works with weaving in the ends to secure everything without making knots or any other visible attachments. I have now worn them a few times and they still seem strong and stable in use. I will later post in my journal about any findings (if there are any) about the difference in materials.

Fluffy trimming: for the fluffy trimming I used a fluffy yarn (close to an eyelash yarn) and made a loose lucet rope with it from a basic stitch. This way there was more bulk added so it would 'poof' up more.

Material(s)/info:
Wool (100% acrylic, colour gradient white/gray/black, plied and fluffy yarn, medium thickness)
Needlebinding stitch: Mammen stitch
Cord: lucet, basic stitch
